Compact Kitchen Caddy
Achieving high organics adoption is all about providing convenience. For some spaces, the conventional Kitchen Caddies are just too large.
This 5 Litre Compact Caddy retains all our usual features. There is no sacrifice on the opening width for plate scraping, and it cleverly retains the educational advantages of the in-mould label. However, with the new thin design, the Compact Caddy cleverly optimises space.
If you can fit a cereal box in your cupboards, you can pack away this caddy, making it perfect for MUDS, lifestyle and retirement villages. In corporate spaces, the sleeker design fits more neatly in kitchenettes behind the sink, or next to the coffee machine to collect tea leaves and coffee grinds.
This Compact Kitchen Caddy is specifically designed, printed and manufactured in Australia, for Australian families. Reflecting our team’s commitment to the circular economy, the unit is manufactured from at least 80% Post-Consumer Recycled Content, usually collected from the contents of council roadside collection bins.
In Australia, approximately half of household waste is organic. As such, a successful council organics diversion program can have a significant impact in reducing community landfill rates, however the key to success is convenience and education.
This Compact 5 Litre Kitchen Caddy builds upon the proven success of our previous conventional caddy, however the modified body shape cleverly optimised space. Importantly the unit fits our range of 8 Litre Compost-A-Pak®Liners, both the flat top and singlet designs.
This unit also retains the educational advantages of in-mould label. In a longer landscape design, a full colour label is inserted into the caddy lid during manufacture. As a result, educational messages are embedded as a reminder for users every time they divert their food waste.
The unit features a single sturdy carry handle, and lockable, snap fitting lid, which flips back to create a full opening for plate scraping. There is a rear mounting tab, so the unit can be attached to a wall or under-sink door, hanging on screws. The venting channels build into the base design makes it much easier to remove the liner and waste.
Our standard unit is made with at least 80% Post Consumer Recycled Content. We regularly work with Councils on unique FOGO designs, with a range of custom-coloured caddies available to be manufactured in Australia from up to 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Content.

The Composter Bin can dramatically improve residential sustainability, enabling organic garden and kitchen waste to be diverted from landfill and transformed into top quality, nutrient rich compost.
The Easy Bin is a convenient, ergonomically designed 47 Litre organic waste bin. The effective design makes it ‘easy’ to consolidate food waste collected from your Kitchen Caddy, in preparation for collection and composting. Manufactured to the highest standards, this unit is suitable for both domestic or commercial environments.
This durable range of Wheelie Bins is the perfect solution to ensure your colour coded recycling program is consistent across all areas, and that consolidated organic waste is separated efficiently in BOH areas.
New technology enables a full colour flyer to be inserted into the caddy lid during manufacture. Embedded under the plastic and so resistant to scratching or fading, this allows your chosen educational messages to be presented to the user every time food waste is diverted, optimising results.
The insert itself is designed in a similar way to a marketing flyer and so, it can feature full colour detail, customised logos, and even photos. *
Manufactured to order, we can even customise the colour of your lids and base to match your specific organics program or colour preference. *
*Minimum order quantities and additional costs may apply.
This Compact Kitchen Caddy is made in Australia of Polypropylene with a minimum of 80% Post-Consumer Recycled Content. Processing items such as milk containers and food packaging, this manufacturing choice reflects our team’s passion and commitment to the circular economy.
The caddy can also be completely recycled at end of life.
If recycling facilities for this type of product are not available through your waste collection contractor, or in your local area, take advantage of Source Separation Systems’ Circular Economy Program. You can return any of our products to our warehouse in Newcastle, and we will ensure it is reused or recycled.
In this case the plastics are granulated with similar products and colours, providing a precious resource which can then be used for the manufacturing of new high-quality products.
This Recycling Stream is right for you
Organics
Over half of the average Australian household’s waste is food waste. In fact, the average family throws out approximately 1 of every 5 bags of food they purchase. Diverting this waste from landfill to either home composters or commercial composting facilities can have significant environmental benefits, with the resulting nutrients from food breaking down into compost, which can be used to nourish the soil for future crops or community gardens.
Alternatively, when such precious organic matter is simply thrown away with other mixed waste, the resulting Landfill sites can emit air pollution including methane gas which is linked to global warming, as well as causing soil and water pollution impacting on local plants and animals.
Our Kitchen Caddy range is proven successful in supporting the communities to divert their food waste to be composted. Convenient with guided educational instructions, the solution is recycling just as nature intended.
