The MultiSort Public Place Bin is specifically designed to meet the high aesthetic requirements of many public places, whilst also providing an effective recycling station, which works efficiently even in spaces with diverse, transient users.
These units incorporate the popular MultiSort lid range, which provides you with the flexibility to choose from a wide range of waste streams. The bases are manufactured in your choice of durable stainless steel or a selection of cabinetry in two configuration to ensure they fit conveniently in high traffic areas.
The MultiSort Public Place bin is manufactured in Australia by our talented team in two key configurations.
The Parallel Unit is a free-standing station in which the lids sit parallel. Available in 60 litre dual or triple streams, the recyclables and internal bases can be removed through the front door. Optional castors, adjustable feet, fixing equipment and door locking mechanisms are also available.
The Wall Unit is designed to be fixed to a wall, with the lids positioned end to end. The resulting thin streamlined unit is a great solution to reduce litter in busy thoroughfares. Available in 60 litre dual or triple streams, the recyclables and internal plastic bins can be removed through the top panel.
These designs are all available in a minimum 1.5mm 304 #4 Stainless Steel for a high quality, durable solution, or in your choice of dark Graphite or Soft Walnut Commercial Melamine. Custom cabinetry can also be selected to mirror your existing joinery.
All lids are manufactured in Australian standard waste colours and feature differentiated waste apertures, as well as written and symbolic graphics, which are printed directly onto the lid for durability. These features are proven to assist users to recognise the appropriate waste stream and optimise recycling yield, whilst reducing contamination.

Compost-A-Pak® Bin Liners are Australian Certified compostable. A plastic free option made of waste corn, these liners make the transition to a more sustainable option a simple choice.
Available in our standard green or a red Landfill and yellow Recycling liners, for the MultiSort 60 Litre bases we would recommend CPK60L-R10-10C.

In spaces such as clinical environments or leading businesses where there is a zero waste commitment, sometimes the Australian Standard colours and waste streams do not suffice. The MultiSort Lids colours, aperture and print can be customised to your unique needs. *

The MultiSort Public Place is made of Stainless Steel or Melamine. The internal bases are made of LDPE and the Lids are all made of ABS, onto which we print directly. All these products excluding the melamine are easily recycled.
If recycling facilities for this type of product are not available through your waste collection contractor, or in your local area, take advantage of Source Separation Systems’ Circular Economy Program. You can return any of our products to our warehouse in Newcastle, and we will ensure it is recycled.
In this case any steel components are separated and recycled. The plastics are granulated with similar materials and colours, providing a precious resource which can then be used for the manufacturing of new high-quality products. The Cabinetry is manufactured using only certified sustainable timber, however as a result of the additives used in the manufacturing process, the material is unable to be recycled into new products. If returned, these timbers are reused in our warehouse, predominately to assist with packing and freight for new products.
Red is the Australian Standard colour for waste sent to Landfill. The red lid integrated in this unit, includes clear graphic and text labels making it easily recognisable, which reduces contamination and limits training requirements.
The worlds resources are limited. Sending items to Landfill limits the reuse of precious resources, and also creates environmental risks given the toxins, micro-plastics and gases associated with Landfill sites, which can escape into the wider environment. The aim of sustainability programs should be to minimise Landfill streams, and in leading organisations Landfill is eliminated with conscious sustainable ordering practices as well as recycling programs.
