Modern, effective and flexible, the Separation Station combines the best practice features of the MultiSort system with the classic clean lines of Stainless Steel.
The units have a total capacity of 90 Litres and are available in a large range of recovery streams including Landfill, Recycling, Paper, Coffee Cups and Dry Waste, so you can build up customised stations for each location. Each stream is highlighted in Australian Standard Waste colours with a laser cut steel front panel and differentiated apertures around which symbols and text is also printed.
Designed and made in Australia, these durable single stream stations provide an attractive solution, popular for public spaces and offices in which both aesthetics and effective sustainability practices are prioritised.
Presenting the effective features of the MultiSort system within the clean lines of Stainless Steel, the Separation Station combines the best practice waste diversion design features and high quality Australian manufacturing.
All base units are designed and manufactured using Stainless Steel, in either a classic brushed finish or a powder-coated black design. The vibrant colour coded MultiSort lids reflect the Australian Standard recycling colours, with differentiated apertures surrounded by symbols and text. This is reinforced with the stainless steel power-coated strip which runs down the front of each system.
Available in a 90 litre capacity per stream, the Separation Station when banked together provides the capacity to ensure that even in the busiest public place environments there is plenty of capacity to capture the valuable resources generated. Alternatively, the modular system allows for dedicated collection streams to be targeted to specific locations or events, such as the Coffee Cup unit next to a barista station.
The units house a robust 90 Litre MultiSort collection system, which is easily accessible through the removable lid, ensuring recycling items are securely captured and efficiently removed. Available in the standard streams of Recycling, Landfill, Organics and Paper & Cardboard, as well as Coffee Cups and Dry Waste streams, this solution ensures you can maximise landfill diversion.

Compost-A-Pak® Bin Liners are Australian Certified Compostable. Just as convenient, these plastic free liners are made of waste corn and so are a much more sustainable choice.

The MultiSort Recycling Range is available to purchase separately, providing you with the convenience to be able to swap out the bases if required. The MultiSort Range is also available with convenient trolleys which allow you to transfer recyclables with limited manual handling.
The cost effective Wall Posters can be tacked onto the wall behind your station. In Australian Standard waste colours, they present bright environmental graphics aimed to draw attention to each unique stream.

In spaces such as clinical environments or leading businesses where there is a zero waste commitment, sometimes the Australian Standard colours and waste streams do not suffice. The MultiSort Lids colours, aperture and print can be customised to your unique needs. *

These units are predominantly made of Stainless Steel and so at the end of their life they can be completely recycled. The MultiSort Bases are made of LDPE and include a portion of recycled content. The Lids are all made of ABS, onto which we print directly. These materials are also recyclable at end of life.
If recycling facilities for this type of product are not available through your waste collection contractor, or in your local area, take advantage of Source Separation Systems’ Circular Economy Program. You can return any of our products to our warehouse in Newcastle, and we will ensure they are recycled.
In this case, the steel is melted down to be reformed and used in the manufacture of new products. The plastics in the MultiSort Bases are granulated with similar materials and colours, providing a precious resource which can then be used for the manufacture of new high-quality products.
Red is the Australian Standard colour for waste sent to Landfill, so this red system with a laser cut steel panel and clear pictorial labels is easily recognisable, which reduces contamination and limits training requirements.
The worlds resources are limited. Sending items to Landfill limits the reuse of precious resources, and also creates environmental risks given the toxins, micro-plastics and gases associated with Landfill sites, which can escape into the wider environment. The aim of sustainability programs should be to minimise Landfill streams, and in leading organisations Landfill is eliminated with conscious sustainable ordering practices as well as recycling programs.
